About Tara Greenway
Tara Greenway is a ThetaHealing® practitioner, teacher and speaker who practices ThetaHealing® in New York City. Tara is one of the founding partners of ThetaHealingNYC, a ThetaHealing center and certified ThetaHealing® school at 1133 Broadway in Manhattan, NY. Tara has been practicing mind/body therapy since 2004 and is a certified Master ThetaHealer who sees private clients, teaches, and lectures. Tara is a member and supporter of ACEP, the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology.
Tara is also an interfaith minister licensed in New York State, and a writer whose first play, Missionary Position (a one-woman show addressing spirituality and sexuality, written in collaboration with Ariane Brandt), was produced off-Broadway in 1999. She is currently working on a book about the relationship between spirituality, sexuality and chronic pain. Tara has through alternative techniques overcome two supposedly chronic pain conditions.
Tara has worked with children for many years in several capacities: she provided support to inner-city teenagers at the “I Have A Dream” Foundation, directed the Drama Youth Program for welfare hotel kids at the off-Broadway Lamb’s Theatre, and volunteered with elementary-aged children in the New York City public schools, as well as with grieving kids at The Healing Center of Long Island College Hospital. Tara is also an AEA/SAG/ AFTRA actress who has appeared off-Broadway, on network television, and in film.
Tara was a founding board member of Healing Arts Haven, a non-profit organization that uses the arts to raise life energy, and is a charter member of MBSConnect, an organization that connects Fortune 500 companies with health practitioners/ speakers. She has served on the Board of Trustees at the Brooklyn Friends School and is an active member of the Brooklyn Friends Meeting. Tara and her husband are the ridiculously proud and happy parents of two incredible daughters, one by birth and one by adoption.
